Common Characteristics of Hagen Vision Bird Cages
When looking through our Vision bird cages reviews you might find a few common characteristics amongst the product range:
- The cages are all aimed at small birds such as budgies, finches, lovebirds and canaries.
- Each comes with at least x2 multi-grip perches, which are designed to prevent foot problems.
- The bases have deep a design to catch and litter, raised ridges to promote air circulation and carrying handles to make lifting and transport easier.
- They come with wide double doors that pivot – this allows you to easily take your bird in and out of the cage and one door can be closed whilst the other is open.
- The feeding and watering stations come with double compartments that allow for 2 different types of food to be separated within each tray. Exterior access doors are also located next to the tray which makes topping up the food and water very easy.
- Assembly is straightforward as all of the parts snap fit together. The cages can also be taken apart very easily for cleaning.
- Cages are HARI Approved which means they’re built to the highest standards for quality and bird safety.
All Vision bird cages have a similar design and look about them, with many of the parts being interchangeable. The main difference is to do with the size and shape of each cage along with the number of perches that are included.
Vision Bird Cage Accessories
Not only do Vision sell bird cages but also a number of bird cage accessories and replacement parts as well. There are a number of different items you can add to your bird cage that will improve the happiness of your birds and listed below are some of the most popular ones:
Vision Bird Cage StandsVision offers 3 different sized stands to fit each size of bird cage that it also sells. They’re made from metal legs and come with wood shelves that provide a stable and sturdy structure to rest your bird cage upon. Each stand comes with an additional shelf for extra storage. This accessory has to be purchased separately as it is not included with the purchase of the cage.
You can find more reviews of other bird cage stands available here.
Vision Bird Cage Covers
Vision sells bird cage night covers that provide your pets with extra comfort and sense of security during the night time. They come with velcro straps making attachment easy and they are also made of a washable material.
Sometimes parts of your bird cage might get broken due to extended wear and tear. If this happens to be the case then fortunately there are a number of bird cage replacement parts that Vision provide. This includes additional bird cage wire panels, debris guards and also bases.
Bird Cage PerchesEvery Vision bird cage already comes with at least 2 perches which are designed with extra grips and holds so different sized birds can perch on them. These perches are very easy to install as they can be inserted from the outside of the cage and clipped onto the wiring with a simple 90 degree turn of the wrist.
As well as the accessories listed above, Vision provides a number of other items that you may wish to consider. There are bird cage toys which will provide your bird with something to play with that will keep them happy. There’s also bird cage paper/liner that you might want to use to collect your bird litter.
There’s even a bird breeding box if you’re interested in this area of bird keeping. Or to keep your birds clean and healthy a bird cage bath is available.
Used Vision Bird Cages For Sale
If you’re buying used Vision bird cages then there are a number of problems you might encounter and need to check for. Firstly, a used cage might carry diseases and so must be thoroughly cleaned before use. It also might have been painted by the previous owner with incorrect materials and so has become toxic to your birds. Finally, there might be breaks and holes you’ll need to look for. Because of all these reasons we recommend buying a new Vision bird cage over a used one. However, if you do go down this route then we recommend you search on sites such as Ebay and Craigslist to find the items you need.
Vision has the most popular range of bird cages available to small bird owners. If you’re looking for a properly designed bird cage then Vision provides consistent quality across it’s products. The main variations are in sizes and number of perches available in the cages because the design is fairly similar.

Hello, I have been told that I can get a hight extension for my vision cage ( medium), I have looked on various site but haven’t come across any. Are these available please.

I’ve never come across a height extension for a vision bird cage. Perhaps the person was talking about the large, vertical version of the cage (the L12) that you can buy, or perhaps they were talking about the bird cage stands that Vision sells and that will work well with an existing cage.
